Great satire uses irony and over the top exaggeration to ridicule its target. This site is so believable that it's hard to tell it is satire - that is the subtly you referred to. I think it's getting harder to satirize these people because any exaggeration of their beliefs becomes fact at some point. It almost feels like reality has become satire - kind of sad, scary, and hilarious at at the same time. I am not sure if it is great satire, but it is done very well. Lord knows I was a first until I researched the 'author' then I laughed myself ill. It is still funny as all get out that some folks think it is true and continue to 'argue' with the commenters/bloggers who are in on the joke.
